Q. How can I force ContactEase to use Outlook Express to send mail to contacts?

Q. When clicking on the email icon within ContactEase for a second or consecutive time an Outlook windows comes up rather than Outlook Express. Outlook Express is the only email application installed. How can this be fixed?

A. Go to File, Preferences, General and find the Release MAPI after each Send e-mail in the scrollable list. Uncheck this preference and click OK.

Q. When clicking on the email icon in within ContactEase, the email address is modified with the SMTP information and the email cannot be sent. How can this be fixed?

A. To use the exact email address as it shows in ContactEase, add the following to the metzpho.ini file under the [METZ Phones] section:

MapiOneOff=%s

The %s captures only the information in the field.
