ContactEase Outlook Form

Q. I’m seeing an error that states “The custom form cannot be displayed.” What does this mean?

A. When using any type of custom forms, the local frmcache.dat file can become corrupted. This is an issue in Outlook. To work around this, close Outlook, locate the .dat file and delete it (it will be re-created when Outlook is restarted). You may also need to clear the cache in the Contacts folder properties (Forms tab, click on Manage). We have created a batch file which can be placed in the Startup folder which will automatically delete the frmcache.bat file upon startup. We have found using this batch file prevents the error message. Please contact support@colevalley.com to obtain the batch file.
