Palm Pilot Integration

Q. How can I disable the ContactEase Palm Pilot integration?

A. The ContactEase entry needs to be removed from the registry. To do this run regedit and locate the HEKY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Palm Desktop folder and remove the Application# folder the represents ContactEase (it will show either as metzcond or cvscond as the Conduit value. HotSync Manager will need to be shut down and restarted to view any changes.

Q. Everytime I make changes with the Intellisync program, I loose my ContactEase entry for syncing to the Palm Pilot?

A. When making changes to the Intellisync program, the Intellisync Address Book is generally made the default. To change ContactEase back to the Address Book, run regedit. Locate the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Palm Desktop folder. Underneath that folder will be an IntellisyncAddressBook folder. Right click on this folder and select Rename, once the name is selected click the Home key. Add the letter X to the beginning of the name. Close the Registry. HotSync Manager will need to be restarted in order to view the changes.
