Printing
Envelopes
Q. I can no longer print envelopes after switching the version of Windows on my PC. This used to work, how can it be fixed?
A. It could be the difference is in the OS that you are running on the two different machines. What you will need to do is to modify the Envelope properties to allow the printing on your XP machine. To do this select, File Print Preview (this will allow you to see changes without printing first), then select Envelopes from the Report: dropdown and check the Print only one test page(this will show you the dotted lines), click Next. In the Print Envelope dialog, click the From... button, you can modify where the From address is placed by changing the Position options.
Q. When I print envelopes, I get a blank "To" area. How can I fix this?
A. To check the To and From areas when printing envelopes, select the Print one test page option in the Printer properties dialog. This will show if they are in the correct position. If they do not show the placement needs to be changes. To modify the To position, click the To... button and change the position options.
Labels
Q. We are not able to change the font style or size on labels when we print them, can that be added in?
A. The font style and sizes can be changed on labels by clicking on the Layout... button in the Print Labels dialog. If the changes made are not being saved, verify the metzpho.ini file in the Windows directory is not too large to make changes. To verify this, try changing the columns in the List Window (View, Columns). If the changes are not made, the ini file needs to be modified and information that is not used needs to be removed. Contact Cole Valley Support (mailto: support@colevalley.com) for any questions on modifying this file.
Q. Why do I get a crash while attempting to utilize the Crystal reports integration with ContactEase?
A. Make sure that the Crystal dll's that are required for the integration are installed. To get the latest set of files needed download the following file:

Q. Is there a way to suppress blank lines on a label when it contains no data, such as a title?
A. Yes, the blank lines on the label will be suppressed automatically when the fields to suppress is on its own line in the layout. For example:
[FIRST][MIDDLE][LAST]
[TITLE]
[COMPANY]
Using this type of label layout, if the title field does not contain a value, the line will be suppressed.
